Virginia Huling

I’m a business coach and consultant for owners and leaders who are done going it alone — and I’ve sat exactly where you’re sitting. The business was never the hard part. The people were. Including me.

Operator-turned-coach — not a guru with a framework
People-first — the person leading is the whole game
By application — coaching & leadership roundtables

I don’t sell frameworks you’ll forget by Friday. I help the person who has to lead with them — on the business, on the people, and on the parts no one else will say out loud.

The Road Here

I built it, ran it,
and hit every wall you have.

01 / 05
2007The Start

Came up the hard way.

Started in the digital marketing industry with more grit than plan — technician and owner at the same time, doing the work and running the business in the same breath, and learning every job by doing it.

2010Built & Ran

Built a company — and a team.

Grew our digital marketing company, and learned the lesson that runs everything I do now: the business is the easy part. The people — including the one in charge — are the work.

2015The Wall

The season it nearly broke me.

A season of natural disasters — hurricanes, floods — layered on top of the kind of personal upheaval that doesn’t wait for a good time. In a lot of ways, that stretch is where we really learned what it takes to run a business and keep the doors open.

2020The Shift

Found the real lever.

Clarity. Candor. The conversations I’d been avoiding. The shift didn’t come from a new system or a framework — it came from a simple truth: the only way to change the structure around you is to change how the people interact with it. Fix that, and everything else moves.

TodayThe Work

In your corner now.

I coach owners and leaders one-to-one and host the Leadership Roundtables — small, curated rooms of people who get it. Same standard, every chair: trust, candor, results.

What I Believe
A few things I’llstake it on.
02 / 05
01

Businesses don’t grow. People do.

Every ceiling a company hits is a ceiling in the people running it. Raise the person, and the business follows.

02

Clarity beats motivation.

You don’t need a pep talk. You need to see the one thing that’s actually in the way — and the next move on it.

03

The hard conversation is the work.

The thing you’re avoiding is almost always the thing that frees you. I’ll help you have it — with your team, your partner, and yourself.

04

You don’t need another guru.

You need someone who’s sat in your chair, asks the question you’ve been dodging, and holds you to what you said you’d do.

How I Work

What this is —
and what it isn’t.

03 / 05

What you won’t get

  • Advice-dumping and recycled frameworks
  • Hype, hustle-porn, and “crushing it”
  • A yes-man who tells you what you want to hear
  • A 50-slide deck you’ll never open again

What you will

  • A confidential sounding board who’s run a company
  • Candor — the truth, said kindly and on time
  • Accountability that checks you actually moved
  • One clear next move, every single session
The Short Version

Why owners trust the room.

I’m not here to make you a better operator. I’m here to make you a leader the business can finally run without.

Off The Clock

The person
behind the questions.

A Savannah, Georgia native, now based in Kansas City. Off the clock I’m an award-winning designer and a published artist — I illustrate, paint, and sell prints online — happiest anywhere there’s nature and water.

I’ve watched a lot of businesses wrestle with the same handful of things. My take is simple: if you’re open to it, we can have the conversations that actually move the needle.
