The mask serves as both metaphor and anchor point, emerging and dissolving within layers of energetic color and movement. Like identity itself, these forms shift and transform depending on perspective, inviting viewers to consider their own evolution of self. The dynamic interplay between defined structure and abstract expression mirrors our constant dance between authenticity and adaptation, between who we are and who we’re becoming.
This work stems from contemplating how we all wear different aspects of ourselves in different contexts – not as deception, but as natural evolution. Through purposeful movement and intentional color choices, each piece captures the energy of transformation, the vibrancy of possibility, and the beauty in becoming. The absence of black paint maintains my commitment to finding light and possibility even in life’s more challenging transitions.
